• heART of Laureen Photo Display

In October of 2005 we lost a very dear friend to Cancer. Many of you know of Laureen Kennedy's passion for children and her commitment to early education. What some of you may not know is Laureen's talent toward capturing beauty in everyday living through photography.

When Laureen retired as Executive Director of Kent Regional 4C in Grand Rapids, Michigan she took her hobby of photography to new heights. She began her own "from my basement" business called Gadfly Productions. She took photos and then turned her favorites into greeting cards. She would send them out to friends and family throughout the year. Laureen left a box of many of her favorite choices in cards.

Friends have taken a collection of Laureen's favorites and produced professionally mounted 20 x 30 framed photography that we will donate to St. Mary's Lacks Cancer Center as well as the Masonic Center. The photography will adorn the hallways to brighten visitors days, just like Laureen did daily. We would love you to be a part of the heART of Laureen Photo Displays. We will be producing the artwork and expect to display pieces in a public dedication in January 2007.

You can participate by "adopting" a piece of artwork from the collection. Each piece is $80.00 and includes production and framing of a 20 x 30 photo and a matching photo for your desk to display. Recognition will be placed on your "adopted" piece of art for public viewing.
